Mark-Zuckerberg

Facebook Goes Online
Connecting with your friends to share pictures,
links, and thoughts became easier than ever on
this day in 2004 with the launch of the world’s
largest social media website, Facebook.
Founder Mark Zuckerberg launched “The Facebook”
from his Harvard dorm room with fellow students
Dustin Moskovitz, Chris Hughes and Eduardo Saverin.
The website has nearly a billion registered profiles
and 500 million daily users.

Facebook went public in May 2012. The company’s origins
were the subject of the 2010 film “The Social Network.”
